Rudyard Kipling was schooled in Westward Ho!


Joseph Rudyard Kipling is possibly the most famous resident Westward Ho! ever had. Schooled at The United Services Collage in 1878 he became one of the most famous writers ever. With titles like "Jungle Book" and poems like "If" he was a pure genius with a quill.

We want to celebrate Joseph Rudyard Kipling's association with Westward Ho! plus his fine works....We want to add some Westward Ho! spirit to it and know he would of approved.



SATURDAY 19th SEPTEMBER 
POETRY TOUR OF SEAFIELD HOUSE

17.30-19.00 Exclusive tour around Seafield House. Get to look around Seafield House, this house would of been in the process of being built when Rudyard was in the village! Learn about Rudyard Kipling, his early years and time at Westward Ho! Hear some of his poems with cheese and wine. This will be limited to 16 spaces at a cost of £25.
